Single Leg Pushes

https://vimeo.com/207507747?share=copy

Single leg pushes in ice hockey are great to work on especially for younger players.

Coaching Points

  • Start in Hockey Position
  • Tight base is preferred over a wide base.
  • Non pushing leg should go in a straight line and good kneed bend.
  • Long strides with full extension and snapping the toe.
  • Head up
  • Back straight
  • Arms are pumping back and forth about 45 degrees.
