5 on 3 Power Play High Switch by Penguins

When the two top players on a 5 on 3 power play switch it can open up a few options and create some confusion for the penalty killers. In this clip the Pittsburgh Penguins use a switch up top to open up passing lanes and get players into position to one-time the puck.

What to Watch

Pittsburgh uses low to high and high to low puck movement on the 5v3 power play to open up the PK and create passing seams
Malkin then moves the puck to the low goal line player
He and Letang then rotate positions in the high ice which opens a cross seam low to high pass to Letang, resulting in a goal
Another subtle thing to note is that Malkin calls for the puck and causes the penalty killer to move their stick position and open up the seam pass
