Swayman moves lateral to make save and stays square to rebound

https://vimeo.com/859229552

Staying square to the puck is important not only on the original shot but if there is a rebound it is important for a goalie to follow the puck and stay square as quickly as possible.

What to Watch

  • Swayman makes a good lateral movement to make the fist save but does not let the lateral move take him out of position.
  • His positioning at the time of the shot is at the top of the crease.
  • Once he makes the save he stays square to the rebound.
