Fwd Splits - Fake Passing & Fake Shooting / Entry Delay into 1-on-1

Fwd Splits - Fake Passing & Fake Shooting / Entry Delay into 1-on-1
By: Dwayne Blais

Fake Passing & Fake Shooting

Players will be in neutral zone. F1 will head towards wall and collect rim from coach. He will cut hard to the net and sell shot then hit F2 for a shot from the high slot. F2 has to find a shooting lane through traffic. Coach will then rim puck behind net and F2 will skate underneath puck to pick it up. He will then sell pass to the D man and find F1 who is finding a soft seam in the high slot.

Entry Delay into 1-on-1

F1 and F2 will skate through neutral zone, coach will hit player in middle of ice (F1). F1 will hit outside player (F2) and they will attack zone from the outside. F2 will look to middle of ice then delay and find F1 for shot. After shot F1 will continue to corner and pick up rim from coach where another player is waiting for a small area 1-on-1. F1 will control and protect puck and try to get it to the net for a shot. After pass F2 can stay in high slot for tips/rebounds/deflections.
