Having players play on their off-hand side can be beneficial to help them make stronger plays along the wall. In this case a left handed player, playing the right side, shoulder checks before receiving the puck along the wall and is able to make a good breakout pass.
What to Watch
- Before the Hurricanes forward receives the puck they look over their shoulder to survey the ice to see their options
- On their off-hand they receive the puck on their forehand
- They make a strong forehand pass without stickhandling
