3 on 3 Zone Entry with Net Drive by Montreal

https://vimeo.com/860689563

Anytime you attack the zone with 3 players you have to have someone driving hard to the net. This will help push the weak side defender back and open up space high. In this clip Montreal demonstrates this concept on a 3 on 3 rush.

What to Watch

  • Montreal's middle player (F2) drives hard to the net and times it well to stay onside.
  • The puck carrier (F1) has their head up and scans the ice for options as they enter the zone.
  • The weak side forward (F3) fills the space high in the zone behind F2.
  • The space is open because F2 drives hard to the net.
