2nd Player Support Wins Puck for Toronto

The concept of 2nd player support is a really important one to keep introducing to young hockey players. If your 2nd player can beat the other team's 2nd player to the area of a 1 on 1 battle then you will usually win puck possession. Toronto give us another example of this concept in this clip.

What To Watch

A Toronto player races to the puck against a forechecker
As they arrive at the puck the Toronto players gets good body position and gets under the stick
This leaves the puck for an incoming 2nd player support which wins the puck for Toronto and leads to a zone exit
