Body Contact Corner protection - reverse hit
Body Contact Corner protection - reverse hit

My Notes
In this drill we are working on reverse hits. When we do a reverse hit there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Keep your head up
- Stop using two feet
- Stop a little bit away from the boards instead of right on the boards
The drill works as follows:
- Place pucks in the corner
- The player starts on the goal line
- On “go” the player goes to the corner to retrieve the puck
- The coach will move the dummy towards the loose puck
- The player delivers a reverse hit on the dummy and possesses the puck
- The player then makes a pass out to the player in the high slot
