4 Lines Series #7

Get Full Access

This is a good warm up hockey drill that incorporates lots of passing, transition, and controlling the puck while skating backwards.  Players in opposite corners will go at the same time.  Player 1 passes the puck to the first player in the line in front of them (P3).  P3 then passes across the ice to the next player in that line.  P1 skates forwards around the center ice circle, transitions backwards, and receives a pass from the player who received the pass from P3.  P1 controls the puck while skating backwards, transitions forwards, and makes a pass to P3.  P1 continues up ice and receives a pass back from P3 for a shot on net.

Players should focus on keeping their head up while maintaining control of the puck in transition.
