This is a great sequence to show your players how scanning and being aware of your surroundings is done constantly at the highest level. Really nice job by the Montreal forwards here scanning pre-touch and understanding their environment and making plays based on their reads.
What to Watch
- Montreal able to play fast and without hesitation in the offensive zone because they are constantly scanning the ice, especially prior to their first touch in possession
- By doing so it allows them to make quick plays before defensive coverage can make adjustments and cover the space being attacked by the next player in possession
